Bright, White and tons of Delight!

Good Afternoon! Isn't that a wonderful first photo to start your day with? I am loving this wooden escape disguised as a living room. Gorgeous tall, wooden, fireplace and a wall of windows that lets in tons of light to frame the rest of the room's rugged yet modern look.
Also, while you are admiring Rebekah Westover's stunning bride draped in pearls and capped ruffled sleeves be sure not to miss the awesome DIY idea. The wedding party has taken mason jars, filled them half way with sand, dropped a white candle in them, and twisted yarn around the jars middle. What an easy vintage looking idea for a wedding or any event for that matter. The last two photos are from a great inspirational blog entitled The Southern Swoop Blog that focuses on hairstyles/up-dos and photography.

Love Declared

"How strange it is. So much thought, so much concern, so much anticipation and yet, now that the moment has come, how very simple everything is. We love each other and we need each other. And we believe the only way this can make a good and full and happy life is in each other's company. And so we promise to love and honor one another forever. The simplest and the greatest, perhaps the most demanding of all vows."

D.I.Y. Paper Pinwheels

Paper PinWheels! What an easy, whimiscal, D.I.Y. idea for your wedding! They can be used in so many different ways. For example: as your seating chart, boutonnieres, cake toppers, aisle makers, centerpieces decorations, bridesmaid's picture favors, or for the guests to hold when you leave the reception. You can make them in whatever color you want, however big you want, and as many as you want. Here is the tutorial: Paper Pinwheels

Dazzling Yellow and Crisp Blues

My lovely faithful readers, I know its been a while but I don't want to explain I just want to create.              Today's inspiration is crisp blues and bright yellows.

Get lost in the vintage jewelry of the bridesmaid in the first photo. Fall in love with the clean, fresh, white kitchen in the second photo and its stone floors that I would die for in my own kitchen. Imagine yourself as the bride in the third photo knowing that for the rest of her life you know have a shoulder to lean on, cry on, and count on.  Get inspired by the bridesmaid's dresses of different shades of blue accompanied with vivid yellow flowers. Enjoy!

Engagement Sessions Inspired by Movies

A new fad in the wedding world is designing engagement sessions based off of movies. For couples who are having a more traditional wedding, their engagement session may be the perfect chance for them to go outside the box. Today I'm sharing with you engagement sessions that are inspired and styled from the movies Up, Alice and Wonderland and The Notebook.

Session inspired by the movie Up. Pictures shot by Wild Flowers

Alice and Wonderland styled photos. Pictures shot by: Three Nails Photography

The Notebook inspired shoot by Blushing Bride Studio This is my absolute favorite one!

Gray Snowy Love

I love this. I love that she has her hands up in the air as though this kiss is a surprise. I love that she is standing on her tippi-toes. I love his bright yellow scarf amongst the gray, cold, background. I love that it's snowing which allows her to wear her oversized toboggan. And I love this photographer, Alexandra Roberts based in Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Oregon.

Inspiration Board: Light Blue and Cotton Candy Pink

Soooo much has been going on lately, I am terribly sorry that my blog has been put on the back burner. Don't you LOVE that little cake! Hello Naomi made this one for a bridal shower and the gorgeous flower on top is made entirely of sugar! The rest of the photos include shiny pink striped bridesmaid dresses, a charming and loving engagement session and a bride's bouquet of an assortment of spring pastel colored flowers.

What Weddings Are Really All About

"I follow many of the popular blogs out there, and I’m a huge sucker for the unique and fun details at weddings as much as anyone else. However as much as vintage soda bottles, large centerpieces, balloons, and other things make modern weddings so great, I want to take this Valentines Day to remind us all what weddings are really about. The wedding cliche always goes something like ‘after the wedding your cake will be eaten, your flowers will wilt, but you’ll always have your photographs.’ That’s absolutely true, however I’d like to add that while your wedding photographs will hopefully be something you always cherish what you will really “always have” after your wedding is your spouse, your relationship, your family, and your love. That’s what weddings are truly about, regardless of what’s hip or in magazines. Being in love, and sharing that amazing feeling with so many of the people who are important in your life. Watch with us as we remember, here on Valentines Day, why weddings are truly amazing. The people.”

Innovative Idea for Engagement Photos

I recently came across this photographer, Ashley Maxwell, a San Jose, California based photographer. With the collaboration of one of her brides and herself they came up with the idea for the bride to wear her mother's wedding dress in her engagement pictures. What a glorious idea; not to mention sentimental, and memorable!! Then shortly after one bride ventured out, more and more of Ashley's brides starting doing the same and look how beautiful and vintage looking they all turned out!

Inspiration Board: Hot Pink and Bright Yellow

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope everyone had a fabulous week. Today's inspiration board is hot pink with a hint of bright yellow. Aren't those such fun colors to use for your spring or summer wedding!? I love the picture I am sharing with you today of a wedding shot by Green Apple Photography. The bride decided to pair bright yellow cardigans and bold floral skirts for her bridesmaids instead of dresses. Plus her adorable touch of pearls on some of the girls. What a fresh new idea. Also be sure to check out the chic wedding invitations by Wedding Paper Divas and RSVP's shoes for just $109.
